The new deal at Bestbar. Attention bands and promoters. Effective December 1st. Tobacco Road is no longer. The venue is now under new management/ownership and is now called Bestbar. Bands and promoters. There is now a NO RENT policy effective December 1st. Bands or show promoters who want to throw an event at the venue will not be charged a rental fee. We provide the room, sound and lighting equipment and backline. You provide the talent. You charge whatever price you like at the door and keep that money. You're only costs are paying the sound engineer $100 for up to 5 hours. We are a 21 and over venue so we will not be hosting all ages shows at this time but may in the future (still figuring that out). We are currently interested in the following types of events and genres. Rock, metal, blues, country, indie/alternative, folk, comedy, burlesque, dance, plays, art events and electronic. Our new sign is up and all of our planned renovations including sound and lights, bar and tables and chairs, bathrooms and decor are all happening everyday. As renovations begin for the new spot we are patiently waiting to close this page and others and announce the new name and new everything. In the meantime, share your least favorite things about Tobacco Road so that we can make the improvements that are needed. We would like to hear what you love and hate about Tobacco Road to help us improve. We are already very aware of the awful bathrooms and the bad bartender service so we can take those off the list! -
It is true, Tobacco Road is closing next week for good. The business has been taken over by new owners and will be re-opening shortly after the change over. The bar bathrooms, and venue room are being remodeled and the theme of the bar is changing completely. The new owners intend to have live music and events 7 nights per week as well as some added new features. All shows currently booked will be honored and new contact information for the new staff will be posted here next week. Thanks to everyone for the patronage and support of Tobacco Road over the last few years. -
