Today, Congress will release the text of the FY2018 Omnibus Appropriations bill. Unfortunately, this bill does not include the critical Cole-Bishop language we all have been aggressively pushing. While Congress refused to include any language in the Omnibus relating to either the vapor industry or the tobacco industry, there is no question that we made our collective presence felt and heard. Our robust industry has created thousands of small businesses and tens of thousands of jobs, while helping millions of adult smokers move to a healthier alternative. Disappointed? Yes. Done fighting? No way. We will never stop fighting to protect our industry and to protect your right to innovate and sell vapor products. To that end, VTA is taking on the flavor battle and will be coordinating an industry response.
